Just letting everything turn out all right – sounds manageable. It isn’t. Three people have set out to do exactly that: to put things right against all odds. To settle disputes, end crises, undo injustice – a happy ending for everyone. Not as a comforting idea, but as a concrete intervention. That requires a plan. And determination. And, well, a situation capable of generating the necessary… pressure.

But the more specific the plan becomes, the more it begins to fray. Which demand comes first? Who decides what? And is digging an escape tunnel really the best possible strategy? Undeterred, the three push forward through their own construction – only to find themselves ever more entangled in it.

In Happy End (no guarantee), Felix Krakau sketches a scenario that is at once playful and dead serious, circling our deeply human longing for everything to turn out for the best. At a moment in time when solutions are urgently needed yet feel increasingly out of reach, three tender-hearted activists hold on to the idea that things might still be better some day.
