Our friends know us well – so with them we don’t have to mince our words. Do we?
Serge has purchased a picture. White stripes on a white background. And it’s cost him a pretty penny. Marc scoffs that ‘this shit’ can’t really be ‘ART’! Serge finds his amusement condescending and responds with rage, and he’s not joking. Before the two ruin their long-standing friendship, however, they want to hear what their third friend – Yvan – has to say. But Yvan has enough to be doing with his wedding fast approaching and hates confrontation. He simply refuses to take a position. Which then annoys both Serge and Marc… The white artwork becomes a catalyst, bringing to the surface sources of conflict that have been brewing between the trio for a long time. What emerges is a portrait of male friendship with all of the wounded feelings, sensitivities and disappointments.

This razor-sharp comedy turned French dramatist Yasmina Reza into an internationally successful author overnight in 1994. The way in which she lets the three friends disassemble the foundations of their relationship has not only proven a great treat for audiences ever since, but also a celebration of a dynamic trio of actors.
Have a glass of wine or beer in our bar and then enjoy discovering whether the three men can save their friendship.
