Subscriptions

A subscription is the most convenient and enjoyable way to regularly visit our theatre. Whether you want to experience and celebrate premieres or go to the theatre on a particular day of the week, take in six shows or four: we’ll find a subscription that’s right for you. You’ll also get many benefits only available to subscribers.

Subscriber benefits

Our subscriptions offer big theatre moments, but that’s not all. You also enjoy a wide range of further exclusive benefits as a subscriber:

Guaranteed seat – Sit in your seat every time; you only need to select your seat for each show if you opt for our flexible subscription

Flexibility – The subscription pass is transferable; you can also switch show dates without paying a fee

Discounted prices – Subscribers pay a discounted rate compared to standard admission

Always up to date – We’ll email you our regular monthly event guide or post it to your home, free of charge

Benefit for regular customers – 30% discount on all other events at the theatre (does not apply to the flexible subscription or to special events)

Leave the admin up to us – If you choose to pay via SEPA direct debit, we process the payment in two instalments

More benefits – You get a 10% discount on single admission tickets for some theatres in NRW. If you already are or were a subscriber, then you’re sure to be familiar with the benefits of a Theater Oberhausen subscription. And did you know that you can also gift someone a year’s subscription? Your parents, children, friends and acquaintances, to mark their birthday, Christmas, an anniversary – or just because? We’d be pleased to advise you if you’re a family looking to put together a subscription with child/student concessions.

Each subscription series is individually assembled in a joint effort by the theatre director, dramaturgy department, Artistic Operations Office and box office to ensure the best possible overall offering for you in terms of content and dates. OTHER SUBSCRIPTION OFFERS

TheaterCard — With the TheaterCard costing €45, you get a discount of 50% on almost all shows. The TheaterCard is valid for 12 months from the date of issue and cannot be transferred.

TheaterCard Young — The flat-rate offering for students and trainees up to 30 years of age (inclusive) during the performance season: pay €25 once – and then enjoy the theatre for free for a whole year! You can use the TheaterCard Young to get admission tickets at the evening box office – subject to availability. The TheaterCard Young is valid for twelve months from the date of purchase. It cannot be transferred but makes for a wonderful gift!

Class Subscription — With the class subscription, daycare groups and school classes can attend two productions for the price of €11 per child/student on dates of their choosing. After the show, you can get chatting with those involved in the production. We recommend reserving the tickets you would like in good time.
