Im Rahmen des Projekts Diversity Voices erforschen und diskutieren die schwedisch-amerikanische Autorin und Performance-Künstlerin Alvina Chamberland und der griechische Theatermacher und Dramatiker Thanos Papadogiannis Autofiktion als Mittel des trans- und weiblichen Empowerments am Beispiel von Chamberlands literarischem Werk.
Wir laden wir Sie sehr herzlich zu einem Creative Writing Workshop und einer Lesung mit Alvina Chamberland ein, die 2024 den autofiktionalen Roman Love the World or Get Killed Trying veröffentlicht hat. Der Workshop beginnt um 16 Uhr. Wir werden den Schreibprozess in Bezug auf Intimität und Verletzlichkeit untersuchen und den Fokus auf den weiblichen Blick legen. Als Ausgangspunkt soll das Werk der brasilianischen Autorin Clarice Lispector dienen (zur Vorbereitung empfohlene Werke: Agua Viva, Near to the Wild Heart, Breath of Life). Danach gibt es die Möglichkeit, selbst aktiv und kreativ zu werden und sich an Creative-Writing-Übungen auszuprobieren. Anschließend diskutieren wir über weibliches Schreiben (ecriture feminine) und das Aufbrechen traditioneller linearer Narration.
Ab 18 Uhr wird Alvina aus Love the World or Get Killed Trying lesen und zum Abschluss gibt es die Möglichkeit, in den Austausch zu kommen und der Autorin Fragen zu stellen.
Teilnahme am gesamten Event sowie nur am Workshop oder Lesung möglich.

As part of the Diversity Voices project, the Swedish-American author and performance artist Alvina Chamberland and the Greek theater maker and playwright Thanos Papadogiannis discuss and explore autofiction as a tool of trans and female empowerment, showcasing Chamberland's literary work.
Join us for a creative writing workshop with Alvina Chamberland, author of the 2024 released novel Love the World or Get Killed Trying. The workshop starts at 4 pm. Therein we will discuss writing through a lens of intimacy, vulnerability, emotions, and the feminine position. The starting point will be through the work of the Brazilian author Clarice Lispector and you're welcome to order and read one of her novels beforehand (especially Agua Viva, Near to the Wild Heart, or Breath of Life), and will continue with own creative writing exercises and a discussion on feminine writing (ecriture feminine) and the breaking down of traditional linear plots in relation to a circular, wave structured form.
At 6 pm Alvina will read from Love the World or Get Killed Trying, ending the event with a Q & A.
You're very welcome to enjoy the whole event but it's also possible to participate in just the workshop or reading.
